Arterie is an art-health program cofounded by Deborah Burdett and Amanda Solomon at the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse. I was lucky enough to be one of the first Artist in Residence in April 2014 where I drew in the Hope Project maritime signal flags on the glass balustrades throughout the new Cancer Clinic. Through the Arterie Program I am the inaugural Artist in Residence at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Sydney (RPA) with the project PROFILE2050 drawing the people who make up the hospital onto the glass walls of the central atrium and connecting links. In hi-vis orange uniforms the team interacts with visitors, staff and patients. I trace their full size outline for the paper pattern, and then draw them with markers on the glass.
